Located high on the Byron Bay escarpment overlooking Mt. Chincogan and the Pacific coastline is the gay owned and operated Coolamon Gaystay. A luxury guesthouse catering exclusively to gays and lesbians, Coolamon Gaystay offers a private sub-tropical oasis in which to relax, unwind and be yourself.  You will find the warm and friendly welcome very reassuring and throughout your stay your hosts Craig and John go to great lengths to ensure your experience is one to remember.

Coolamon Gaystay is only a short drive to many of the regions’ world-famous natural wonders such as the golden beaches, iconic surf breaks and world heritage national parks.  The nearby coastal town of Byron Bay with its’ surf culture and landmark lighthouse is a must see, as is the quaint hinterland village of Bangalow - both offering a lively and eclectic mix of boutiques, galleries, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

The distinctively laid-back vibe of the north coast is evident back at Coolamon Gaystay with its’ Caribbean inspired architecture set amongst a lush, verdant landscape. Inside the stylish guest quarters featuring a separate bedroom with walk-in robe, sitting room and bathroom all with top-quality furnishings and fittings offer plenty of space, privacy and creature comforts for guests to feel truly pampered.

Outside there’s the allure of a cool dip in the salt-water pool and lounging back on the sundeck to enhance your tan. At days’ end you will want to sit back on the sprawling veranda with a cocktail in hand and watch the sun set over the valley below.
